through the glass,
you smile
talking to people
outside my cage.
they watch,
as I pull out…
an apple tart.
push it into the oven.
decisions
and bad ideas,
past incidences,
rule the mind.
how old am I?
how young are you?
through the glass,
you smile
talking to people
outside my cage.
they watch,
as I pull out…
an apple tart.
push it into the oven.
decisions
and bad ideas,
past incidences,
rule the mind.
how old am I?
how young are you?
when you smile,
the mist of the clouds
dampen my face.
I realize as I breathe out,
I’m in deep.
As our eyes meet.
secrets, can I keep?
cast my gaze
cutting board.
lost track of time
the blade
slices under bone.
goose bumps rise
I wonder
what to do.
Drops of water splash up,
Dampen my face
As my bare feet strike the surface of the river
Heel first. Followed by the front pad
Bending
My toes thrust
Bearing me a little further
Down the cold river
As I match to the ocean.
It’s said
My arrogant faith carries me
Across these cold rushing waters of life,
But honestly,
The thought of drowning with each step
Keeps me above;
For I can’t swim.
some where
distant
within the night sky
descends
a spoken silence
broken up into colors
her eyes speak
shining
over the water
as the wind whispers secrets
through the leaves.
I lie awake
gazing through the window
at the sky filled with moon.
and setting sun,
who’s light
surrounds me.
and consumes me in passion,
as her eyes touch mine.
Looking at the stars
I can only dream.
Those eyes guide me to her soul,
And universe
But her mouth.
Twitches
And my world shakes.
