Lotus

An elegant slender umber lady,
docks along the banks;
as we talk,
I gaze into those alluring cocoa eyes.

I, a white wolf, belong to the earth,
and she, a lotus,              the river,
floating down with the current.
I stand along the red banks,
mourning my youth,
and watch her navigate the rushing waters of life,
wrapped in cold rain and an imperceptible want.

Looking for a Muse, POETRY

Walking on Water

Drops of water splash up,
Dampen my face
As my bare feet strike the surface of the river
Heel first.   Followed by the front pad
Bending
My toes thrust
Bearing me a little further
Down the cold river
As I match to the ocean.

It’s said
My arrogant faith carries me
Across these cold rushing waters of life,
But honestly,
The thought of drowning with each step
Keeps me above;
For I can’t swim.

Good Listeners

Loneliness,
sometimes finds me,
wraps it’s arms around me,
and tries to drag me into the darkness.

Depression
sometimes haunts me
late in the night
as I try to sleep.
It sweeps under my soul,
trying to pull me down.

So I go back home to the mountains,
to hang with the pack,
And run through the woods.
howling with my friends at the trees:
cause the mountains and trees
are really good listeners.
