The birds sound like
Sea gulls speaking crow.
The birds sound like
Sea gulls speaking crow.
I watch the people pack up their things,
Load it into there wagons
And go into that place
Where they don’t come back.
You’d think
Working in a kitchen
I’d eat all the time
Or at least get something to eat
But I forget
All the time.
well the thought has sprouted
a pecan seedling
roots beginning to sink deep
the thought spreads through the brain
neurons firing
everyday i think about her.
i can’t stop
the notes echo
about my fingers
I think about her body
as she rests upon my chest.
My fingers strumming her
making her sing.
a beautiful red hallow body old epi
i got at a pawn shop
for fifty buckets
i had to totally rebuild her
lost her years later to a pawn shop
I wonder why a lot of times
When I was younger
I’d wonder why
And try to figure out the why.
I wasted a lot of time
Figuring nothing out.
I’m old enough now
To let a wonder why.
Be and just stay
A wonder why.
(Have to choose
which why
To wonder on.)
